personality: Piper is described as the most kind, caring, and maternal of the four sisters. She can be very sarcastic and quick-witted, a trait likely acquired from years of looking up to Prue. Piper grew from the meek, shy and very much arbiter middle sister, to a confident, charge-taking, quite comedic cynical woman.

history: Piper was born on June 7th, 1973 to Patty Halliwell and Victor Bennett. At the time she had an older sister, Prudence, and her grandmother, Penelope Halliwell or Grams. Not even 2 years after her own birth came her little sister, Phoebe, and then after 2 more years came Paige, who was hidden away soon after her birth and given up for adoption because of her mixed heritage of being a Witchlighter. When she was 2, just before Patty found out she was pregnant with Phoebe, the future self of Piper, and her sister Prue, came back from the future though neither girl remembered, they did find out later though. Piper grew up being raised by her Grams along with Prue and Phoebe because their mother died not long after Paige was born. She doesn't remember much about her mother, just that she loved to cook and worked a lot to get money for them.
Later on she found out about being a witch, and a Charmed One when she was 25 in 19198. Her baby sister, Phoebe, read from a book hidden away in the attic and the sisters gained their powers which had been bound a little while after Phoebe was born. The sisters then went on with life, though now demon fighting was in the mix. out of her sisters, Piper was the one who wanted a normal life the most. She didn't mind being a witch, but she wanted to be normal badly still. Of course with a lot of demons after her and her sisters that was never going to happen. In 2001 tragedy struck as the Source sent his greatest assassin, Shax, after the Charmed Ones. He successfully killed Prue, but Piper lived. Losing her big sisters was hard on Piper, she had always been able to rely on Prue to be there, and then she just wasn't.
