SUB-PLOT GUIDELINES
Alright, so sub-plots are fun and all, but let's not get carried away here. This section of the site is dedicated to serious roleplayers who are interested in involving their character(s) in a short to long-term plot with a clear structure. Subplots must contain more than one threads to be considered as a subplot. These are not for your average one-time threads. So without further ado, here are the rules.
STARTING A SUB-PLOT[/size]
1. Have a goal. For instance, when it's over, what is going to change? If it depends on the RP, then at least know the possible outcomes.
2. Make sure you have a clear idea of what the subplot entails: conflict, characters, plot twists, etc... Feel free to use a graphic or back story to back up your subplot, though these are optional.
3. If your subplot involves another player or two, please use the 'Plots & Requests' board to organize your idea before you start one.
ROLEPLAYING A SUB-PLOT
5. Threads are the same. Same rules, same locations, and same routine as the non subplot threads.
6. However, you must link all threads associated with the subplot, in the subplot board.
7. Others can join your subplot threads if you'd like as long as you stick to your subplot goal.
8. If the activity/availability of other players is too low for you, feel free to create a {closed} thread and write out the gaps and missing information to help your subplot move along.
ENDING A SUB-PLOT
9. When the subplot is complete, make sure all threads associated with it are finished and that there is a link to each of them (archived links) in the sub-plot board.
10. If a major change has happened to your character, please update character bio, plot page, information, etc... Staff will help in this step if need be.
SUB-PLOT FORM
Each image needs to be 100x100 and you can only go up to 8 characters for one subplot, 12 max, 4 100x100 images each line. If you need help with the form then PM a staff member.
